Kamryn Buchanan is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She completed four years of undergraduate education and has spent the past four years pursuing graduate training in counseling psychology, developing her skills as a clinician, researcher, and advocate.

Kamryn's clinical experience includes providing counseling services in a variety of settings, including Nebraska Wesleyan University, Omaha North High School, and the Counseling and School Psychology Clinic at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Through these experiences, she has worked with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of presenting concerns.

Her clinical approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy and informed by a multicultural feminist lens. She believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and values creating a collaborative, culturally responsive counseling environment that centers clients' strengths, lived experiences, and personal values. Kamryn is particularly passionate about developing a strong therapeutic alliance, viewing the counseling relationship as the foundation for meaningful growth, healing, and change.

Her professional interests include identity development, multicultural counseling, social justice and advocacy, empowerment, and supporting individuals as they navigate life transitions and challenges. Through her work, Kamryn strives to foster spaces where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to author their own stories.
