Amy (She/Her) has a wealth of knowledge and experience in behavioral health. Helping others has been Amy’s passion for the past 27 years. She is dedicated herself to being a strong and dependable patient advocate. Her career in nursing started as a bedside nurse from 1998 through 2001. Then Amy pursued her Master’s Degree in Nursing, and became a Board- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her next career change came in 2001 when she was hired to be a Nursing Faculty member, at Creighton University College of Nursing.

Amy spent 19 years in her faculty role at Creighton University College of Nursing and taught primarily in the 1-year Accelerated Nursing Program, where 100 students yearly became Bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurses. Upon leaving Creighton University Amy applied for several jobs as a full-time Nurse Practitioner and found that her passion as a patient advocate, fit very nicely in the mental health field.

Amy’s approach to providing mental health services includes helping her patients both set and reach goals for their mental health as well as their physical health. She specializes in addressing unhealthy patterns in mental health disorders and promotes peace and stability in each of her parents’ lives. Amy provides an environment that is safe and supportive, while establishing trust with her patients, allowing them to move through their mental health challenges at their own pace. She believes that each patient is the expert on their own life and that they have.
